The raw (too raw for you stiff tie conservatives?) intensity of Magma is unmatched by any contemporary group.

Interesting, in light of this blog title, that Magma were seriously accused in the 70s of supporting fascism. MDK (excerpt in the top clip) tells the story of the beautiful submission to a higher power.

Catch Magma on their 40th anniversary tour this year! And by the way, their 2004 album K.A. is astoundingly good, and they’ve scheduled the release of the next installment of the Kohntarkosz (now there’s music!) cycle for late next spring (2009).
