Mmmm … Vietnam Vets Against McCain
Just for the record, I denounce this behavior, as I denounce, reject, renounce, deject and mispronounce all instances of people getting what they deserve. Why does God let such bad things happen to bad people?

Oh.

This is nothing but lies. We respected the American fighting men we captured. And very, very few of them are our agents anymore.

I can vouch for Mr. Chi Mihn on this score. John “Born Abroad” McCain is a loyal comrade.
I mean American.

Wait a minute.
That’s B-1 Bob Dornan, right? I’m supposed to believe something B-1 Bob says?
I feel like Norman the android in “Star Trek”. Smoke’s gonna come pouring out my ears any minute now.

Of course not– that would be silly. John McCain is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being you could ever vote for. Anyone who speaks against him is probably a Communist.

Of course not – that would be silly. You are merely to note that Bob Dornan has said it, which means that it has been said. Then, whenever John McCain appears, you are to point out -correctly – that “some would say” that John McCain is a cowardly traitor who shot down his own airplane and then tortured himself in prison for 5 years so that he could later be President. Your first check from CNN will arrive shortly.

You were to wait for instructions before proceeding! No more Banh Mi!

Well, there’s another whole school of thought about the secrecy shrouding this whole POW-MIA thing.
I wonder if anybody else has ever encountered this theory, or if I’m totally tin-foil hat here?
Anyway, I once read in a book that part of the Paris peace accords that Nixon and Kissinger negotiated was top secret, and that was that the US would pay X billion dollars in war reparations to North Vietnam, and as soon as the money was received, the North Vietnamese would turn over all remaining POW’s, MIA’s, and the remains of all known dead US servicemen.
According to this book, the US govt refused to cough up the money, and Hanoi said, OK then, fuck you guys, we ain’t givin’ you diddley squat.
IF this is truth and not total fantasy (???) then there are lots of other people besides McCain who have a huge motive for keeping this stuff classified until the end of time.

Has anyone ever found out who that fucking woman is? Every time I see that picture, I get pissed off all over again.

Reminds me, not so much of the Manchurian Candidate, as an episode of the old series The Defenders. A group of Korean war vets has a reunion, and the one hero who supposedly held out against torture is shown to have zero scars and lashes on his back (literally), and is the one who sold out the others.
Also, God: Why do the ones who are so compelling and fun to listen to turn out to be nutbars like Dornan, while the John Kerrys are so gagaliciously boring and pompous?

Can one ever have too much Schadenfreude? Probably, I guess.
Since dealing drugs is now a sin, getting high off someone else’s Beschaedigung is probably a sin too.

[...] I smell unlikely romance in the air? For those about to tsk-tsk, I ask you: how can it be wrong when it feels so right? Paradox. [...]
