So I’m totally not saying it’s the end of the world — it’s not, duh, the skies would turn red — but the image of riot police beating down a much larger than expected crowd of Boca Raton residents desperate for housing vouchers is a little piquant. The bread lines better have some organic multigrain, is all I’m saying.

The Palm Beach Post story says “An unidentified Boca Raton police officer asks a woman holding a child not to crowd the area near the front of the housing authority. Police officers were concerned with the number of children in the crowd.”
A more accurate way of stating it would be “Police officers were concerned with the number of black people in the crowd.”
