It’s instructive to look back at the origin of “wanker” in the lefty blogger lexicon. Congrats and thanks to you, oh Editors, on giving us the word we needed. Oh, I remember wankers, my friend. Used to be, back then, it was all about the wankers. Some kind of British insult, wankers is, apparently, judging from its usual targets. Now it's ratfuck this and ratfuck that and all the Vice Presidential MILF-factor* we'll be dealing with so it's just not the same anymore. The rhetoric's moved on, is what I'm saying, though the wankers remain, world without end, my friend. *McCain is effectively doubling down on the bet that there are a bunch of disaffected Hillary people out there, just like Larry Johnson's been hypothesizing the heck out of, who will be so sensitized to criticism of a woman yet again in this campaign cycle that they'll rally around Palin to his benefit. Go ahead, he dares you. Make fun of her.

I liked the fact that the Obama team refuted to go on that radio show with Kurtz. They can whine aim all they want about not wanting to join the “debate”, but doing so just add legitimacy to what is essentially bullshit. It’s like those creationists wanting to debate Richard Dawkins, and he just wont do it.

Hey Eds. I think you were actually positively citing Thers. It's a funny season because I just spent off-moments over the past two days opining that that making fun of other liberal to lefty bloggers wasn't the best way to fuck rats. But whatever. Some folks believe that anything funny isn't positive. And anyone who thinks making fun of Atrois isn't really that funny a joke is positively barmy. Obama kicked the shit out of you, me and Thers tonight. I wonder how that'll play.
