They have no problem with public lands. Indeed, they support them, provided that they are held by the people of Alaska (and not the U.S. government) and that all Alaska residents enjoy the right “to entry upon all public lands within the state, and to acquire private property interest there in, under fair and reasonable conditions,” including subsoils.
