One of the more interesting possible side effects of today’s vote is an overloading of the Wingnut Welfare system. So many wingnuts and professional conservatives will be turfed out (not just from the executive branch, but lobbying shops too) and the money that used to flow into various welfare agencies (think tanks, “institutes”, radio programs, book contracts, etc.) is drying up (their funders have taken a nice shot to the net worth in the last two months). There just aren’t enough seats on the gravy train to hold all of people who will be trying to board it – and the real non-WW job market isn’t exactly the healthiest place right now.

Oh, this is going to be fun.
