If I did take a job from the Plum Book, and took taxpayer dollars, I’d gladly tell you every last detail. That would be my duty.

Wade, as a retired Fire Fighter, you were part of a union, and benefited from the efforts of that union with regard to your benefits? I’ll assume you are pro-union and support them with all your might, because after all, collective bargaining benefited you, and you benefited the community in turn with the knowledge that you have a workers comp safety net, a pension, health care benefits, etc.

The unions paid a living wage of 28/hr. the SC jobs pay 15/hour. Progress? The more money in the pockets of working families the more they have to save, invest, spend, the higher the taxable income, the better the schools. Breaking Unions = The middle class, which is the engine of our economy. Maybe it was mismanagement and not collective bargaining. As a member of the Bush Administration weren’t you a member of AFSCME? Do you receive a pension? What kind of benefits did collective bargaining grant you while a member of the government?

Joe the Plumber? Nobody cares.

If knowing as a taxpayer what I paid for is “nefarious”, then whatever. It’s called Over-site, my duty as a citizen in a democratic republic.

Not retired not pro union even though I come from a union family. Firefighter benefits are laughable, if you make a chief you get better benefits without the help of a union. Unions had their day, now they are part of the problem instead of being part of the solution. I have to work 2 jobs as most firefighters do. Average firefighter pay across the nation, if my figures are not outdated, $35,000 per year. Oh yeah, unions really help us.

I care about Joe’s rights. I just don’t think Joe is pertinent in the issues of the day. When you enter the public sphere you retire your privacy. You know like how you published the front door of the Bush Family private residence?

So you think lobbyists shouldn’t have to register their activities? You don’t think campaigns must make their best effort to disclose contributions?

As far as Gitmo goes, I believe under the Constitution, ratified international treaties are the law of the land. If swear to protect and defend the constitution, that’s what you’re swearing to.

I don’t believe that the Congress declared war, and don’t agree with the War Power’s Act. This is a police action issue, terrorists are criminals and should be held with habeous corpus rights granted since the Magna Carta. That’s what make’s America great, and our enemies foul. We obey the law. We are a nation of laws and not men. “Those who would trade their liberty for security deserve neither.”

As for the Auto Industry bailout,

1. This is a Bush Administration Plan, supported by the President, whom you’ll “miss.”

2. People who make 15/hr barely make a yearly living wage, and will see a decline in their IRS bills. As they should. The top 2% enjoy 90% of the wealth, and seeing that they enjoy the luxory of a security via the military and police we all pay for, more then a working man, they need to chip in just a bit more. They pay the most taxes, as they should, they receive more benefits then if they were by happenstance born in Zaire.

What’s the point of individuals joining families, then neighborhoods, cities, states, and countries if it weren’t natural human behavior to recognize that you are more secure working together in concert, then apart? A finger has little power, but when combined with other fingers to form a hand, the utility of all the fingers is much greater.

At the workplace, the employer need the employee just as much as the employee need that job. I’ll remind you that if you don’t like Unions, why did you join one? Why shouldn’t workers join together like people join neighbors to improve their lives and their working conditions? You must despise democracy. You want as much transparancy from the Obama Administration as possible? So do I. The problem is, you don’t care for transparacny in previous administrations, of which you claim membership. You probably draw a nice pension from the taxpayers too. If you don’t like unions, send it back. Get a job as a greeter at Walmart, because, pal, the only pensions these days are from unions, and if you don’t have one, there is no retirement. You can’t make it on social security alone. 401Ks are great as a supplement, hell, we all have to save, were not making money off of derivative transactions. The problem with 401Ks is this, what if you’ve been saving for the last twenty-five years and the market bottoms out like it is now? What’s the plan Mike? I know maybe if I save in my 401K for thirty years it will be there, or if loan sharking like we did, will it all be gone? Work until you die, and/or correct me if I’m wrong, join a union and get the pension you deserve so retirement actually exists.

If you were a public figure as a member of the Bush Administration, why hide your identity? Post your C.V.. I’ve never been on the tax payers dime like yourself. So reveal you last name, or return the checks you cashed to the tax payers. Once you enter the Executive Branch, like young Mr. Favreau has learned, you’re right to anonymity pales in comparison of the right of the people to know who they paid, for what any why.

I’m just a nobody who works for a living. I work for free in my spare time, shying from credit, never taking a dime, to improve public policy. I have a BA in Campaign Management and Electorate Behavior from a Cal State. I’ve never taken a dime or given a dime to any political party. Once you reveal, I’ll be happy to oblige you.
