You should really check out some fantastic German rap. The Fantastichen Vier (or something like that) is even funnier. Oh wait, they’re white Germans, and socialist… So I guess it’s not funny when they do it, just artistic…
“…An hour outside the city of Cologne lies a hip-hop commune started by Thomas D of Die Fantastischen Vier. This vegan farm is home to cats, dogs, and pigs, in addition to human hip-hop artists. The commune is called Moderne Anstalt Rigoroser Spakker, or MARS for short, and translates roughly as Modern Institution for Rigorously Crazy People. MARS was built on the fortune made by Die Fantastischen Vier, and residents include all types of people, including artists, designers, and producers.[3]…”
Nothing is lamer than a political activist/musician… You know Bruce Springstein, damn hippie folk singers… G G Allin…
Must be catching on quick, this rep youth reachout. Since about five days ago, my 14-yr old son’s new nickname for me is Niggah. Or Mr. Pleeze if you dig it. (Not making this up. That’s my new homey handle.)
I want him to do an Ebglish assignment on his role model. Wouldn’t it be great?
You know, after thinking about it, y’know after I came down from my high on un-cut Colombian caliche blanco, I find that it is encouraging that the GOP is attempting to reach out to minorities, granted, it is a bit funny when a tyro first picks up the bag o’ pipes, or the accordion. What disturbs me is this focus on a specific minority. I wonder if Bobby J. down in LA reached out zydephonically reached out to the coonasses, maybe he did (http://current.com/items/89842295/coon_ass_riviera_jindal_s_louisiana.htm) … You know, there are other federally recognized minorites that perhaps the Democrats are missing out on (Roach v. Dresser Industries Valve and Instrument Division)… Still think politically motivated music is bs though.
I would agree with Professor Murder that the GOP’s science is just too tight, except that the GOP and science have a longstanding, adversarial relatinoship.
“Strong words from the new RNC chair, the party’s first African-American leader — but they didn’t stand long. After Limbaugh attacked Steele this afternoon on his radio show — “It’s time, Mr. Steele, for you to go behind the scenes and start doing the work that you were elected to do instead of being some talking-head media star” — Steele apologized. “My intent was not to go after Rush — I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh,” Steele told Politico’s Mike Allen. “I went back at that tape and I realized words that I said weren’t what I was thinking,” Steele said. “It was one of those things where I thinking I was saying one thing, and it came out differently. What I was trying to say was a lot of people… want to make Rush the scapegoat, the bogeyman, and he’s not.”

I’ve been peeping Kyuss, and Josh Homme’s other projects aka Queens of The Stone Age. He’s a really under rated, tastefully, restrained, guitarist. “Songs for The Deaf” and/or “Rated R” are the places to start.
Well, since we’re touting obscure or forgotten wonders of recorded music, let me apply my paleonotomusicology (‘cuz I’m both a bit of an old fuck and have been more retrospective than contemporary in my music tastes since I turned 17, around the time Don Kirschner’s Rock Concert proved how lame the contemporary so often be):

Dinu Lipatti Playing Music by Georges Enescu
and again
And in a different IV, rock’n'roll before it became official (by being guitarized):
Ella Mae Morse, and wadda babe!
And back when it was OK to sing with a clear strong voice:

In the future there will be a pilot and a dog in the cockpit.
Teh pilot’s job will be to sit and watch.
Teh dog’s job will be to bite teh pilot if he tries to touch anything.
