Tommy Friedman wonders why the Muslim world is so unappreciative of America’s selfless and magnanimous offer of forced fellatio.
What Tommy doesn’t understand is that those crazy exotic Arabs prefer you to ask them out to dinner before bombing their countries, killing hundreds of thousands of their countrymen/co-religionists, creating millions of refugees and otherwise leading to unthinkable suffering. To prove a point about our machismo.
Dinner and a little pillow talk Tom. It goes a long way.

I have similar feelings towards Ann Coulter. I want the two of us to play “American Foreign Policy.” I’ll oppress her for her most precious resources and ask nothing but a ‘thank you’ and a hum job in return.

Ew.

I find it a horrifying hallmark of our “leadership” that they simply cannot understand why anyone might not like having their wife/husband/child/brother/sister killed.
I can only conclude that people such as Friedman live in some sort of bizarro world where you love the people who cause you the greatest pain, and detest those who would offer you comfort.

Stupid ass fucks are stupid ass fucks.

We’re doomed.
No, seriously. What in the known universe can possibly fix this country? I’m beginning to think the lunatics are right about one thing: This is their country. The rest of us are just living in it.

I suppose this is the true tragedy of being post-colonial and all that. Even if they do close their eyes and think of England, it’ll make them less complacent, not more.

LOL@the Patriots.

The meek shall inherit the earth but the lunatics shall ever claim it their own.

Central Asia is where empires go to die. I don’t know what so hard to understand about that.
December 1, 2009 at 2:50 pm
For America, the difficulty in understanding that is in part our unwillingness or inability to understand that we are an empire in the first place.
We are NOT an empire! We are:
duh greatest fuckin’ nation on duh face o deh earth
the world’s sole superpower
a shining light upon a hill
anointed bug God Himself to rule the planet (nut not as an empire!) and bring democracy to the benighted peoples of the world
so not England, so what happened to them doesn’t apply to us
kicked ass and saved the world in WWII and dontchyoo fergit it!

During a recent foray into the lunatic world, I was quite taken aback by the fact that the lunatics are quite proud of their belief in American exceptionalism — and are disgusted by libruls who don’t believe in it. It shouldn’t have been a surprise, but actually hearing it was stunning.

American exceptinalism: I never heard that ‘spression afore. Is that, like, Freyunch?

What with the Gage-esque percussion the rhythm sounds not unlike “Give Peace a Chance”. Just sayin’.
Now, everybody’s always talkin’ ’bout Taliban, Calliban, contraband, ampersand, what a muthafuckin’ Band….

Not a bad track, km, but for me, their first album is still their best.

n’ this here’s a new discovery for me. I used to like these guys, but this track makes me think Kurt Weill died too soon:

R.I.P.
Bob Keane, a record producer who discovered Ritchie Valens and helped start the careers of Sam Cooke, the Bobby Fuller Four and Frank Zappa, died in Hollywood, Calif., on Saturday. He was 87.

This track from my homework list for the week seems appropriate. Though I doubt any of the innocent souls dead thanks to neocon delusions of American excepshumalist grandeur will get through to the responsible parties. You can’t reach people who completely lack conscience.
“Where figures from the past stand tall,
And mocking voices ring the halls.
Imperialistic house of prayer,
Conquistadors who took their share.”

Holy cow. You’re studying Joy Division? Awesome.
BTW, there’s a pretty good “Under Review” documentary about them. Netflix has it.
